VIALET just refreshed their brand, and are know for building high-performance payment infrastructure engineered for global e-commerce, complex and regulated industries. Bootstrapped, solid and well-growing business - we dive deeper with Mantas.
VIALET has emerged as one of the fastest-growing fintechs in the region. Can you share more about the company's trajectory and strategic focus?
Our trajectory hasn't been a straight line. Although for most of our journey, we've seen steady, consistent growth, built on continuous experimentation and responding to emerging market needs, 2024, however, was a more challenging year. It pushed us to take a hard look at our business, rethink what truly creates value and make some difficult decisions, including stepping away from stagnant business lines that no longer served our long-term vision. So we doubled down on what we do best: building financial infrastructure for B2B payment solutions. Just as importantly, it led us to focus on finding the right people to move forward with. And it paid off.
How did VIALET achieve profitability as a bootstrapped company? What gives you a competitive edge?
Discipline. While others chased hype with VC money, we focused on building for the needs of the customer they are willing to pay for. Our edge is that we don't copy, we solve the real 'headaches' our clients have with as little friction as possible. It's about hard-earned trust, not just processing transactions.
What does the new VIALET branding promise for the market?
We call it ULTRAVIALET internally. Inspired by ultraviolet light, it represents our ability to reveal the best in people and to shine new light on what otherwise would be a commodity service. The new branding is a promise of clarity and technical expertise. We aren't following the typical fintech aesthetic because we aren't typical fintech; we are 'Engineers of Trust.' Our brand reflects our ambition to be the best at B2B payments and do it with style.
