Whoever lays the rails

November 7, 2026

Products built on unstructured data are getting traction. Fieldy, Spotwise, WhiteBridge AI, Galago FM, Spike (acquired by Raintree) — they all convert messy inputs like voice, data, documents into insight or workflow. And yet there is another frontier - the nature, the atoms. Can we analyze and build more things than ever before?

work in progress

Unstructured tailwind. Job ads and resumes are great examples of unstructured data that made it almost impossible to scale things - no person could read 100k a day. But agents do. And Roleo easily raised EUR 2.9M to scale job matching for talents. Strong team: co-founded by Janer (co-founder of Veriff) and Vahur (Wise's early engineering team and co-founder of Membo).

Products built on unstructured data are getting traction. Fieldy, Spotwise, WhiteBridge AI, Galago FM, Spike (acquired by Raintree) — they all convert messy inputs like voice, data, documents into insight or workflow. That's the digital world, quite a few large companies will get built.

And yet there is another frontier - the nature, the atoms. Can we analyze and build more things than ever before? Auryx (interview with Erika) raised funding to extract health information from acoustic signals in your earbuds. Last year, Juvenescence acquired Ro5, an AI-driven drug discovery company co-founded by Zygimantas. Oxipit (acquired) and Ligence are also great examples. And + one more exciting announcement next week in this space.

Product hunt launches. Display.dev launched on Product Hunt with Display, and OpenMail did that, too.

Motors. Ovoko giving you two options: join Karolis Raišys in Dakar – or start your next adventure with their growing team. LABA7 does not look like unicorn — but reminds a disciplined, nicely growing profitable business with a passionate founder going places.

Lithuanian Motorsport Park, initiated by Jonas Karklys, is going ahead - construction permit received.

Financial technology. Axiology has partnered with Lithuanian electronic money institution VIALET to enable the use of tokenised money market funds (MMFs). Pollen Street Capital ads another EUR 20M for Finbee to grow their debt portfolio. InRento cooking: 76.4% YoY growth, €23.49M funded in Q3, eight European markets.

Relationships. Neringa is building Cokid app - a parenting app, initially built for divorced families. Would like to talk to potential co-founder/CTO and investors. Mintaras in the meantime built Tinder for dogs (dog breed selection for couples).

Products, products. Sort A Brick received nearly 2,000 restoration requests from 41 countries and processed more than 700 kilograms of mixed bricks - selling 75% of sets first week. After 1000 Greet customers, welcome Greet POS. Tadas scaling Rods to 50k MRR gross.

Great minds ride a bike. The cargo bike movement among unicorn founders - looks like three of them in the Baltics joined the ranks. Can you guess names? One is recently on youtube, explaining family logistics in Vilnius. Other one shared views couple years ago.

rounds and capital

Altinity exit. A bit under the radar, Mindaugas co-founded Altinity about 9 years ago and scaled it as a global firm. Now it's being acquired by EDB, and it must have been a significant exit.

Roleo has raised a €2.9M round led by Practica Capital, with Inventure, bringing total funding to €3.46M.

Creandum fund Nr VIII, $750M in size.

further insights

Move on Europe. Not only Republicans are leaving the Congress, also Sequoia closed London office — and Taavet replies with the best tweet. Anyways, as Nicolas’ writes “the news confirms a pattern: a VC firm that works as one team on both sides of the Atlantic is hard to build”

Next James Bond movie? US believes Nvidia’s Huang had romantic relationship with alleged Chinese spy.

The forgotten formula for lovable cities.

Beyond bottlecap trolls. "Name one decision Brussels made in the last ten years that you would have voted for if you'd been asked” — the list. Go Europe!

Why does Europe struggle to fund its own startups? Look at where it keeps its retirement money - writes Nicolas.
