work in progress

  • On my own. Solo founders on the rise. Met many Baltic founders lately building projects, startups, apps – very often solo, or a small team, bootstrapped when possible, leverage AI. This Every quote resonates:
2025's greatest challenge won't be technological—it will be societal. The gap between AI-enabled individuals and organizations and those who fail to adapt will widen dramatically. Success won't just come from having the best AI, but from best understanding how to apply it to real problems.
No one can know for sure what happens as individuals become more capable than they ever have been in history, but for builders, the message is clear: Focus on solving real problems you deeply understand.—Alex Duffy

KachingAppz (Erikas and Donatas) just crushed 2024, revenues jumped to $4.3m. Team of 12, bootstrapped, zero calls, and this is the lean company structure. Paulius built a hand-picked creator database, hits $10k in 30 days. Tadas has been building in 2024 – 7 apps, including 3 AI agents, we can learn from his experience – unlocking revenue takes a few shots on goal. Deivydas leaves Omnisend after 3 years, to play around with AI projects and new ventures. No AI, but still impressive – Arunas Matacius generated EUR 0.5m net revenue for SOULEL, (family-owned, bootstrapped, €200K revenue per employee). Jonas is learning that with some AI solutions, enterprise customers can suddenly move fast (we are also seeing businesses need a boatload of images, as per Genus AI results, they generated over 1 million product catalog images every singe day in Q4 2024). Antanas (Laris Lab) tells that AI can automate customer support at scale, onboarding new customers and might have a spot for you. Family venture? Gabriele and Karolis launched Temidy AI, a platform to drastically cut time searching / reading.

Now if you a) keep thinking about real-life problem b) that can be solved better with AI – drop everything and give it a try. Worst case will learn a critical piece of technology of the century.

thank you for 2024

Big thanks for all our friends, all our supporters, sponsors and paid subscribers, fans and any haters, too.

Also you, the hard-working tech people that build (or invest) all that stuff we can talk about. So many bright, dedicated talents trying to make this a better place. We want to put more spotlight on all of you 2025!

Our media world is also competitive, but Tech Philomaths simply deliver more.

*did not add 15min because they support our work, and also thought they would tick too many boxes... watch them, great team and ambition.

  • Superhero Capital announces the launch of its fourth fund, targeting EUR 50 million to invest in early-stage software startups across Finland and the Baltics. This is along with strategic expansion into Lithuania, where Gytenis Galkis and Audrius Milukas join as partners. LPs in the new fund include Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company and the Finnish state-owned venture capital and private equity company Tesi.
  • Smok Ventures would love to meet more LT founders, learn more about them here and email Borys.
